1 John 4:20 says; "If someone says, "I love God," but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is a liar; for if we don't love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?"(NLT)
Bible also says in 1 John 4:12 "No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us."
Our love for God in Christ Jesus must be tried by our reaction or conduct to other brethren. If a man claims or professes to love God, and yet indulges in anger or revenge, or shows a selfish disposition, he gives his confession the lie. But if it is plain that our natural character is changed into affection and gratitude, let us bless the name of our God for his seal and grace. Then we differ from the false claimers, who pretend to love God, whom they have not seen, yet hate their brethren, whom they have seen.
It's our love for our brothers and sisters that prove the love of God in us, Apostle John was encouraging the church to love one another. He said in chapter 2:9 "Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness.
Today, decide to be kind to your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus and the love of God will dwell in you.
Heaven Father, I thank you for your love. I have the love of God in me. I am not selfish or revengeful. I declare that I am not walking in darkness but walking in the light of God in Jesus name! Amen!
