1 John 5:14-15; "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have what we asked of him."(NIV)
We have confidence in God, that is what faith is all about. Being confident that His promises will come to pass.
Sometimes we go through trials and temptation but the Lord expects us to be confident in Him in the midst of these trials. We need to have an awareness of His goodness and faithfulness. That is why Apostle Paul said; "For we know that all things work together for good to those who love God."
It's an awareness, a knowledge. Knowing that God is faithful even in our unfaithfulness. You may be sick, God loves you in the time of your sickness, you may be facing disappointments or lack, you are still the apple of God's eye. But for you to be patient in your affliction, you must be aware that all things are working together for your good.
Jesus never promised us that there would not be trouble or afflictions but He said we should be of good cheer that He has overcome the world (John 16:33), meaning that at the end of it all you will be victorious!
"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."(Philippians 1:6)
Dear Lord, I thank you for your faithfulness. I have confidence in you. I know that all things are working together for my good. I declare my victory in Christ Jesus over every challenge before me in Jesus name! Amen!
