Psalm 4:7; "You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine."(NLT)
Our joy is not dependent upon our circumstances or our gains, our joy comes from God. There are times when things will not go the way we want it, and all hopes sometimes lost. People may come up against you and criticize you but God gives joy to carry us through, a joy that can never be understood.
Jesus said in Luke 6:22-23; "What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man. When that happens, be happy! Yes, leap for joy! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, their ancestors treated the ancient prophets that same way."(NLT)
As soon as you receive Christ as your personal savior, the Holy Spirit within you produces joy that passes understanding, whenever you are in trouble, when things are difficult, in sickness, in lack or abundance, joy will always spring forth from your heart.
God fills us with all joy and peace as we trust in him, so that we may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.(Romans 15:13).
The joy that emanates from you in the time of trouble, is a proof of your faith in Christ Jesus, and the presence of the Holy Spirit in you.
James 1:2 says; "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,"(NIV)
Dear Father, I thank you for giving me joy; The joy of the Lord is my strength, I will never be in worry, I will never be anxious for anything. I declare that the Holy Spirit is producing joy within me, and everlasting joy is mine in Jesus name! Amen!
