QUESTION: HOW CAN WE WALK IN GOD'S LOVE?
STUDY REFERENCE: Ephesians 5:2, 2 Corinthians 5:14, Ruth 1:16.
Love is a feeling of strong or constant affection for a person. Bible says in 1 John 4:8; "But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love." If the scripture says that God is love, then we can walk under his love.
1 John 3:1-3 says, "See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him. Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.
God loves us so much and as the bible says that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us; How much more now that we have been made righteous through His son Jesus will he not freely give us all things because of his love for us? So, we have to be aware of His love so that we can experience it in full. The knowledge of God's love keeps us strong in him.
Apostle Paul was praying for the church in Ephesus to experience this love of God in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 3:14 says; "When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
We can walk in God's love by first acknowledging how much He loves us and getting a hold of it by experiencing it, submitting to His mighty power and staying in His will to fully experience His power.
