2 Peter 1:3; "His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness." (NIV)
In the above scripture the apostle, Peter was encouraging the church, telling them that God's divine power has given them all they need to live a victorious life.
Today some believers still pray for the things that God has already given to them, this is not right because we are heirs to the promise the scripture talked about. Someone may ask, why don't I see the manifestations in my life? Why can't I live a miraculous or supernatural life?
The answer is that you must build on what has already been given to you through knowledge. The bible says you should complement your basic faith with good character, self-control, perseverance, godliness, warm friendliness, and generous love.
With these qualities active and growing in your life, you will not need to ask God for anything else to prosper, just keep thanking and praising Him, your victory and prosperity is sure.
James 1:4 says; "Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
Heavenly Father, I thank you for giving me patience, I walk in faith, I walk in goodness and love. I have all I need to live a godly life. I am victorious in all I do in Jesus name, Amen!
